Loved the Clash from the first time I heard 'em, sometime in the late 70's. I always liked new sounds, good lyrics and radical politics and this was all that. They just kept getting better with London Calling, Sandinista is the best release ever and would be my choice if I was only allowed to own one record. I was kinda irritated by all the dummies that totally got into Combat Rock without a clue as to what is was about. But, Whatever, at least they made a little cash on that one, they deserved it. Saw them in 80 or 81, when they opened with Safe European Home and played all the old hits. I think it was their last tour. I was still in H.S., Had "The only Band that Matters" spray painted on my locker. Those were the days.
