hardly anyone ever mentions Passion is a fashion which is probably the best book ive read about the clash, but the biography u mentioned is an amazing read too

oh shoot... I forgot to mention there is another Joe Strummer book out there. It is called Let Fury Have The Hour... I have it but haven't read it yet.

A couple more Clash reads:
Last Gang in Town - Marcus Gray - very thorough (and long!!) book on the band. unbiased (personally as a fan of the band it made me cringe more than once- oh and I think the new version has additional material but I'm not sure)

I am reading it too... and I have read A Riot Of Our Own... it's a fantastic look at the band from an insider at the time. Definitely a good read.

I'm reading it at the moment also.. It's a brilliant book.
