My real name is Gray,i'm an all rounder where music is concerned, love rock n roll,rock/metal,reggae,ska, love most if not all punk/new wave era bands especialy the clash, damned, pistols, stranglers ,first band i saw during that era was the jam and neon hearts at the civic in wolvo and how evryone was gobbing on paul weller and he told them to pack it in as their white shirts were turning green lol, that was a briliant night, remember i was going to see the pistols at the lafayette in wolvo but they canceled ,i like quite a few modern bands ,one in particular is 'the ting tings',arctic monkeys ,loads that will never be remembered as long as the clash but let them have their moment of glory.
hi girl, iam andres, my friends call me the irish. i m oppend mind to all kind of music, but i listen mostly reggae and rock, enfatising punk rock, but i like mostly old rock. sex pistols,THE CLASH, the damned, the who, also bands in spanish such as hijos del oeste, chicos de fabrica la 25, and sudamerican things, in fact i have my own band trying to imited the clash.
just to you to know, i wanna tell you my favorites songs are "remdeption" of bob marley, "no feelings" of sex pistols, The guns of brixton of the clash, and finally but no lees important " punks not death" of Exploited i loved music, because, music is beatiful and beatifulness is divine, lol is important to use it right.
Best wishes,
The old irish.
Alex here. Look forward to participate
Hi Natalie,
I'm Nathan. Massive Clash fan and bass player in Sheffield band The Stangs.
Home of the Artic Monkeys whom sadly i'm not a fan of. i'm a bit old school you see. i like bands like the sex pistols, buzzc**ks, the dammed, sonic youth, dinosaur jr and of couse the clash.
Stay free!
Names jef and i just joined, Don't know why, I'm a bit old for this kind of stuff. Guess I'm feeling nostalgic. If ever the US needed a band like the Clash talking to the kids, its now. Instead they get whiney self absorbed "New Rock" naval gazing plagerists or even worse, Rappers that sell the ideas of greed, misogyny, violence and county jail stupidity for the profit of their corporate masters. I was a punk as a kid as much because of the message as the music. And you know what? We were right about Reagan, the right wing, the evangelicals, all of the a**holes who are currently destroying the world. Thing is, theres nobody to say "told you so" to even if this wasn't too tragic to gloat about. Everyone is too apathetic or ignorant. The corporatistas have the Govt. and the law and the courts and Media bought. The constitution is being dismantled and all the things people think won't happen to them, CAN BE DONE TO THEM NOW without anyone to protect, help or, listen to you. Think I'm Kidding. Look at all the things like phone taps, detention without charge, interrogation etc.. that used to require proof of wrongdoing and a warrant.
Whats this got to do with the Clash? you ask. Well, Punk was a movement,..Just like the Hippies, yippies, Panthers, SDS etc.. in the 60's . They did something.changed something. They were right and fought for it, and now EVERYBODY claims they were one of them back then>proud of it too> Well WE WERE RIGHT about THE RIGHT and now the Kids and the grown ups and all of us ought to wake up and do something to stop these a**hole who are trashing our counrty. Trust me, you can brag about it when your old, but only if we all aren't in some department of homeland security camp. Politics alone just don't excite people, you need dancing....and music, cool hair too, .... whatever it takes.

my name is erin and i've loved the clash since 1980 when i was 16 and heard the first lp, first american release. i still love the clash. i thought the world ended when joe strummer died. there is a lost picture of me and mick jones taken before their concert in vancouver, bc 1982. i could never part with my clash gear, badges, albums, singles, books, etc. i especially love the dvds coming out now. even though i think i was there close to the beginning, i wish i could've been there in 1977 dancing my heart out...

i'm a Clash fan from beantown surrounded by people consumed by meaningless hip hop. im big on the sex pistols and the dead kennnedys but im a bigger metal, blues rock and grunge fan. my fave band is aerosmith and of course must pay trib to led zeppelin. i grew up around the beatles and elvis fans so i cant help but love them too. o yea and im a devoted fan of all of the great guitarists b/c i play guitar as well.
Hi, my name is Neil
I have been a Clash fan since 1977, the first song I heard was Janie Jones and it's still my favorite.
I never got to see them play live as I was the only punk in the village and venturing into the big city on my own wasn't easy. Now I enjoy taking my daughter and nephew to gigs, something which my dad would never have done. Blink 182, the offspring, Anti Flag, distilers, bowling for soup, paramore, Green Day. I'm currently trying to organise a Clash sight seeing tour of London with some of my friends, to visit the sites of their rehersal rooms, recording studios, concert venues, video/photo shoots and places of residence.
IGNORE ALIEN ORDERS
the clash makes me want to play guitar and be on stage and give it all. thanks.
and im not a fan of indie-pop or whatever its called...its too much and to be seen everywhere. they should cut it down a bit.

A lot of people are saying that they're anarchists. Well, answer me this: what POSITIVES does anarchy offer to society? You wanna get rid of the government? Well, have fun living in a totally corrupt society. Without government there aren't any laws, without any laws the worst will be brought out in people. People will start killing, stealing, etc... the main rules and laws that society is built around will be broken.
If you want to live in a world where people can do such actions without consequence, then either A) you're a teenager who's yet to realize how the world works or B) you're an idiot.
It's also hilarious that anarchists say Joe Strummer influenced them; Strummer wasn't an anarchist though, do a little research, it's obvious.
i saw the clash 7 times and fought -and lost-in the punk wars its only in the last few years that 'outsiders' have finally realised the massive influence of the clash

hi, everyone... i guess i'm the young one here, haha... well, i became a clash fan approximately 7 years ago, when i listened to "(white man) in hammersmith palais" for the first time, and that was actually my first clash song ever! i was 14 years old back then, and i mostly listened to singers/bands in spanish or others in english, though i must admit, i've always loved oldies' music. anyway, as the years went by, i found out what the clash is really about, and now they're my favorite band of all times! (i feel kinda sad for not having the chance to see them live...) i agree with Kenny... you're right, they really are "the only band that matters".
take care, clash fans...*

Hello all ! I've been a Clash fan since I first heard their cover of Eddy Grant's « Police on my Back » on the radio in 1981. Music never was the same for me after that ! Passion, empowerment, envolvement and a new sense of belonging became the name of the game.
I've been fortunate enough to see two incarnations of the band live : 1982 (sans Topper Headon *sig *) and 1984 (the Clash Mack II). The Clash live at Montreal Verdun Auditorium Sept. 4, 1982 remains the best live show I have ever seen, period.
I had the privilege of seeing some of them in their post-Clash live career ; Joe Strummer & his fantastic Mescaleros, Paul Simonon with Havana 3AM. But not Mick with BAD (*sigh*), with hopes set reasonably high with C/S.
The Clash is still the Only Band that Matters.
Hey guys, my name's Acacia, I'm currently at uni.
I was born 3 years after The Clash broke up, but with both my parents being fans, I grew up around the music and still love it.
I've almost got their entire discography on CD, and I'm working on getting it on LP as well, but so far I only have Sandanista! and London Calling, as well as the 7" The Singles set.
Hi, my name is Kenny and I've been a Clash fan since the late 1970's!
Needless to say I'm not in high school but it's very cool that The Clash is still attracting fans that weren't even born when they broke up in 1986!
I never saw The Clash perform live and that really is a shame because I had the opportunity.
The Clash truly transcended Punk and they remain to me "the only band that matters"
Hi Natalie, my name is Samantha,it's nice to meet you. I'm also new here; pretty much everything you described about yourself is how I would describe myself, although I'm not in high schhol, not since last year anyway, and my fave modern band is Babyshambles, although I do like Arctic Monkeys. It's nice to know that there actually are people who I have something in common with.
