As one of the greatest bands of all time -- who were unbelievable in concert -- The Clash could've released one of the greatest live R&R albums of all time.
This isn't it.
Instead of patchwork of songs from several eras of the band, they would've been better off releasing a single powerful show from 1978-81. Or better yet, several shows/albums. While there's some good stuff on this album, it doens't hold together as a live album ought to.
Nevertheless, do get it for the standout tracks--and then get your hands on some of the great "unofficial" live recordings in circulation.
