I would have to say Julies been working on the drug squad - its perfect for getting going.
I don't understand liking London Calling (virtually every other song on the album is better than that), its the only clash song I have to skip whenever it comes on. Maybe I heard it too much when I was younger but it sounds too pop and doesn't have the energy/ propulsion or uniqueness of other clash. Also you really haven't really heard the Clash until you hear them on vinyl. Check out Joe Strummer's albums with the Mescalero's they are almost as good as anything the Clash made post- London Calling. But Sandinista and Combat Rock are incredible records.
I have been listening to Clampdown a lot lately. Beautifully shows the bands pollitical view and the energy. Can't decice if I like the live or version on LC. But the thing is just awesome.
Train in Vain
White Riot
I'm not Down
hm...................
Complete Control is good too
and of course should i stay or should i go and rock the casbah
rudie can't fail is cool too
Depends what my mood is! From Hammersmith Palais to Janie Jones to The Call up to The Clampdown, from The Crooked beat to Stay free to Clash City Rockers to Armagideon Times. Music has always been a reflection of mood, feeling and head space. These dudes always gave it to me..and still do!
Hey Gonzalo my name's ClashCityRockers0 on youtube I wanted ClashCityRocker77 but some non-Clashing jerk had claimed it would you believe ... so yes. I love that song!
"And I wanna move the town to the Clash City Rockers ...
"Ya need a little jump of electrical shockers!
"Better leave town if ya only wanna knock us ...
"Nothing stands the pressure of the Clash City Rockers!!"
Y'know it sort of sounds like Guns On The Roof, or should I say the other way around ...

You cannot write very well, but as I gather you are an idiot. Please stop insulting us. We never insulted you.
Please leave at once as it is you who are a hindrance.
You are not a Clasher. Clashers don't insult other Clashers, or anybody else unless they really deserve it. Joe Strummer would be completely ashamed of you.
Being a Clasher is about the spirit as well, and no matter how much you know you don't have the Clash spirit.
If you are a real Clasher, then I am Joe Strummer reincarnate.
oi, mate, full stop!
don´t call me sucker when you didn´t even managed to read my post properly.
where have i mentioned Should I Stay Or Should I Go?
furthermore i wrote:

you may think it´s funny but i do know what you mean.
actually i had the same problem with Blur´s Song 2
only thing is i´m a step ahead of you. i grew to accept that track in all it´s perfect catchyness and i
don´t give a damn about how many other people like/know this song.
You're wrong my friend. I know most of their songs, and like many other people I have decided that London Calling is the greatest regardless of its popularity. It's not like I don't know their other songs- my second favourites are Gates Of The West, Groovy Times and Somebody Got Murdered. I also love London's Burning, Rebel Waltz, I'm Not Down, Cheapskates, The Magnificent Seven etc. But I still think London Calling is the best. That's all.
Good point Jules, although I've seen him look better ... try bass! It's great, and you can learn guitar later. But, if you learn guitar you can automatically play bass haha
yes, haha, but what you see of him is noooot bad.
you know, i´m an untalented guitarist but i thought i´ll stick to it but since i know paul.... bass isn´t bad at all.......i just would handle it with more care..... ;D

WE ARE THE HAPPY LANDFILL
Hahahaha you've never seen me Julia!!! But you're right about the song. But not only did he write it, he played it all on the song!! But it's Terry in the clip *frowns angrily* hehe, London Calling was the first for me. I'd just bought a bass and I picked it up and started to play along ... anyway you didn't see too much of Mick in Casbah ...
oh, i bet you do!!!
it´s got such a cool bassline & lyrics !
yes, i knew topper wrote the piano part and of course, didn´t know about bass and percussion tho.
it was the first video i saw of them.... Rock The Casbah will always be special to me.
i told you what i thought about them back then.......hahaha... i almost was a mick-girl

Me too ... and of course my all-time fave is London Calling, and then Gates Of The West. After that, it's too confusing!!! I love Rock The Casbah to bits but it's not my absolute fave ... great to play bass too though ... you know Jules, Tops played piano bass drums and percussion on Casbah, the only other things being Mick and Joe's vocals and guitars. Love Mag 7 and Brixton ... I look damn cool too while playing my bass to it and singing
i could post a different song every few weeks, really!
my fave is of course London Calling among loads of other tracks.....like Rock The Casbah (try to get that piano melody out of your head! )
Death Or Glory
Magnificent Seven
aaand of course Guns Of Brixton, i feel very cool while listening to Guns Of Brixton xD

Just thinking, it only goes to show the passion these guys inspired, no single person has a definite fave song, we're all in love with so many.
Somebody Got Murdered is a good call, but I don't think it's their best ALTHOUGH it is a fantastic song. Note that it's somebody not someone lol
