The unique story of the Clash by Joe Strummer, Mick Jones, Paul Simonon and Topper Headon. This is the first official book to be created about the band, by the band. With unprecedented access to the Clash archives, this landmark publication brings together previously unseen material including tour posters, artwork and photos of the band at home, on stage, in the studio and on the road – with each member telling their story in their own words.
As the first of its rotating featured exhibits, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ANNEX NYC is presenting a limited run of a special exhibit dedicated to the Clash entitled Revolution Rock: The Story of the Clash. This exhibit will allow visitors to get an in-depth look into how the band’s politicized lyrics, musical experimentation, and rebellious attitude have helped shape rock history.

The legend of Joe Strummer will forever live on. Director Julien Temple is doing his part by immortalizing the late Clash visionary on film with the documentary 'The Future Is Unwritten,' which finds Strummer's peers, bandmates and generations of artists and actors who were influenced by him to tell Strummer's story.
"Whatever we discussed, we always ended up disagreeing, not in a nasty way -- you can talk to Joe about anything in the world and he would have a conversation with you on it," original Clash drummer Terry Chimes says.
