I LOVE THIS ALBUM!!!!!!!!!!!!
The prodution is spot on and the songs are as consistent as any debut album by all the 2nd rate bands around at the time. "Difficult follow up album!" ?????????? MY FOOT!

Tommy Gun is awesome and probably the most "sit up and take notice" song the boys ever wrote.

If their first album rates a "10", this one certainly warrants at least an "8". There's a a couple of weak(er) tracks, but overall it's great, powerful stuff. And I still don't understand why people ripped the production back then -- perhaps because it didn't have that DIY, low-fi ambience? Sandy Pearlman brought out the gutiar power and glory big time!

The Clash Live! Veteran of 12 unforgettable shows, 1979-82.

A lot of people criticize this album, but I think it deserves just as much attention as all the others. Great lyrics, catchy riffs. Tommy Gun--Mick's guitar is one of his best ( I think), Julie is sweet and gives a hint of The Clash's future. All The Young Punks gives you a hint to what Joe, Mick, Paul and Topper were thinking!?
