TAURUS TRAKKER, formed in 2006 by Mick Jones's cousin Martin M (vocals, guitar) and ex-ATV drummer, Alli P, are a truly rockin' London-based punk rock blues band, strongly influenced by The Clash, The Stones, Mott, The Faces et cetera. A couple of years ago they backed Mick for a set of Clash classics during a benefit show for Strummerville and they appeared regularly at Carbon Casino. Mick later produced and guested on their single, Monks Punks and Drunks. Since then they have added a cool new Fender Precision-swinging bass player, Johnny H, who they ran into at the Rock'n'Roll Public Library (where else!?) in Portobello Road last year, and are sounding--and looking--better than ever. Next month the band hits New York for a series of live shows. If you're in the Big Apple why not come by and check out a firing rock'n'roll band and say hi to some fellow Clash fanatics? Who knows? Maybe cousin Mick will show up!
