Originally released in 1985, This Is Big Audio Dynamite is a groundbreaking and highly influential album which perfectly blends New York beats, Jamaican bass lines, ear-bending cinematic samples, and British guitar rock. Before the Rap meets Rock cultural paradigm, before the meshing of musical genres became the norm – there was Big Audio Dynamite, led by ex-Clash guitarist/vocalist Mick Jones. This landmark album now includes a second disc of 12 bonus tracks comprising rare U.S. and U.K. 12-inch remixes, edits, dub versions, outtakes, and B-sides – five of them previously unreleased.

I'm a fan (and you should be too) because... The Clash were and still are the only band to be completely relevent to the times they were living in. Musically they were powerfull and to the point (the clash, give em enough rope), totaly confident in their own ability to embrace their wide range of influences and use them to craft some of the most timeless, much copied but never equalled, songs in rock music (london calling), and defiently brave in their development and experementation (sandinista!).
